Irish jump jockey Ruby Walsh has an unfamiliar role on Sunday when he takes a ride on the Flat at Naas on the opening day of the Irish Flat season. 

Walsh will be on Castletownshend, which is trained by his father, Ted, and owned by his mother, Helen, in a six-furlong race.

Jockey Ryan Moore rides Empire State for Aidan O’Brien, placed in all bar one of his five runs to date.
